Born on Merseyside, now based in London Mat first picked up the guitar at the age of 8, learning both electric and classical guitar. Mat has a degree in Jazz Studies and currently studying a masters in composition at Goldsmith University.
Mat has performed at all types of venues around the U.K and Europe, at hundreds of weddings as a solo guitarist, or as a duo band ‘Twin Kill’, as well as being a regular guitarist at restaurants, bars, and functions throughout the country. Mat has played in musicals such as West Side Story and Romeo and Juliet. Toured with big bands, rock bands, orchestras and also on his own. Mat has composed music and jingles for advertisement companies and also for Artists. With so much experience Mat can create any ambient to make your wedding day perfect and memorable just for you!
His repertoire ranges from Bach to the Beatles, spanning centuries of musical influences from all corners of the globe. With nearly 30 years of experience playing the guitar and over 20 years in working in the music industry, Mat is the perfect guitarist for your ceremony and reception music. Whether religious or non-religious music and is available to play for you from 30 minutes to 4 hours.
